Frenglish

I'm far too lazy for junior year.

J'ai trop de choses a faire. (I have too many things to do)

There should be an accent on the "a" before "faire" but I just don't remember how to do that.

I'm so tired and out of it that some of my thoughts have been French lately. I'm actually getting the two languages confused in my head.
What. The. Hell.

Northwestern. WHAT A TRIP. I assure that the rest of my year (possibly life? well let's hope not) will pale in comparison to the fun I had on that band trip. So unbelievably fun. If you're not in band, you could never possibly comprehend. If Orlando is even half as amazing as Northwestern, it'll make sticking to symphonic band worth it.

That's saying a lot.

Besides Northwestern, two good things happened this week:

1) My neighbor burned me a CD of the AVPM/S soundtracks, and if anything could make my exhausting week better, it was that. THANK YOU MACK!

2) I made the play I auditioned for. Long story. I auditioned to just dance in the play (no singing or lines, just dancing) and I'm fairly certain that's what I made it in for. But when I asked our theater director what days I needed to be at rehearsal every week for dancing, he said "Well, if you don't have any other conflicts, I'd like you to be with the chorus."
I'm not sure what that means exactly, so... um ... I'll get back to you about that.

We had to make a blog for A.P. Comp, but I didn't link this blog to my school blog for 2 reasons:

1) You guys don't want to read my school crap. If you actually bother to read the details of my boring life here, I thank you very much, but the other blog is only for requirements. Lame, boring, lame, lame, school stuff. I promise I'll post all of the exciting stuff here.

2) I feel like my teacher would have some serious judgements about me if she read this blog. I've maybe said five words in her class so far, so judgement would be happening. All over. (Ally...)

I really don't have much else to tell you except I have a bump on my forehead now because I ran into a wall yesterday. Bye!

Thank God for Band.

adsfny#oetvnua78mgt.2hactynhgjnrtgpy5m6,pBLAH.

^My thoughts on the first day of school^

I used to consider myself that person in my group of friends that never really had anything going on. I have recently come to the conclusion, however, that that is far from reality. While I was filling out the activity form, I almost ran out of space for everything. I can't decide if I'm happy that I'm involved in so much, or overwhelmed. I think it's mostly a little bit of both.

Thank the good lord for marching band, though. Because not only is it the only class I didn't have homework in tonight, it's getting me out of school 2 blocks early on Friday. What else is band good for?

I finally got around to putting up all my pictures from summer on Facebook, and that means pictures from the Ellie Goulding concert! Like I've mentioned a couple of times, my camera's quality barely makes it worth calling a camera, so most of the pictures I took had major blur or terrible quality, but these were some of the best pictures:

If I haven't already said it enough (which I assure you, I know I have), it was a phenomenal concert.

Anyway, back to my camera. I said I wanted one for my birthday a couple posts back, but of course, I didn't get one. So I bought one myself. That's right. I got a brand-spanking new Nikon D3000 and it is SO PRETTY! I'm not an expert at camera's by far, and it seems more fit for a pro, so I might return it and get a different one, but it will still be a nice DSLR, and so yea. Here's a picture of the D3000 I bought:

Yay!

Anyway, it's already 11:00 on the first night of school this year, and I still have a crapload of homework to do. I know it's a great start to the school year. But hey, I finished reading the third Harry Potter book when I got home from school today in a successful attempt to avoid my homework. Don't act like you don't know I've got my priorities straight.

Remember: If you're reading this, it means you've survived the first day of school. So go eat some celebratory ice cream or something.

Summer Playlist

Surprise. I lied to you again.

So I'm 2 days late.

Anyway, this is my post about what I've been listening to this summer. It's really been a little bit of everything. I'm going to put a bit of a description by the links with hopes that at least someone will read it, but worst case scenario, they're there in case you listen to a song, and go "What the heck was that?" It's kind of like my rationale for liking that song. Anyway, onwards.

Without You- David Guetta ft. Usher
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bOTD_y-4Zyo
I usually like David Guetta's songs because I tend to enjoy dance-y songs, and I'm starting to be more of a fan of Usher as well. I really like the variety this song has in terms of sound.

Sugar, We're Going Down- Fall Out Boy
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uhG-vLZrb-g&ob=av2e
I remember this song being really popular when I was in something like 5th grade, and for some reason I stumbled upon it and just kept listening to it. For like a month straight nonstop. So much love for this song. Although, I did have to look up the lyrics because I had no idea what they were saying.

Motivation- Kelly Rowland ft. Lil Wayne
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s1XozsBN5Z4
Again with the dance music. Ignore the completely sexual lyrics. I try to.

Yes- LMFAO
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yxPZ3yplwR0
This is easily one of the stupidest songs ever, but it's just so upbeat and funny that I find it enjoyable to listen to. Don't judge me.

Hello- Martin Solveig and Dragonette
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kK42LZqO0wA
I guess it kind of has a unique sound? I don't know, I just like it.

21 Guns- Greenday
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r00ikilDxW4&ob=av2e
I actually like a lot of Greenday's songs . Basically all of the popular ones; American Idiot, Boulevard of Broken Dreams, Holiday, Wake Me Up When September Ends (that's Greenday, right?).

I Can Transform Ya- Chris Brown ft. Lil Wayne and Swizz Beatz
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kta9If-sP4s&ob=av2n
like 99% of Chris Brown's songs are really douche-y, but really catchy to me. This is no exception. He is a bomb.com dancer though.

Hot- Avril Lavigne
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fzb75m8NuMQ&ob=av2e
I think this is a fairly old song, but I found it kind of recently. The lyrics are borderline creepy, but ignore that. Again.

Glamorous- Fergie
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q0SyUgw98tE&ob=av2e
This song never gets old. I just love it. I just realized, though, while I'm listening to it, that she really spells out words a lot in her songs. G-L-A-M-O-R-O-U-S. D to the E to the L-I-C-I-O-U-S.

Look At Me Now- Chris Brown ft. Lil Wayne and Busta Rhymes
Most douche-y song of the year, but it makes me feel gangster while I'm attempting to rap it and dance to it alone in my room. Yea, picture that and have yourself a nice little laugh.

Do The John Wall- Troop 41
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aQ2kYoMDw8E&ob=av2n
This is actually more of a joke from camp, but I still listen to it from time to time. And do the dance every time without fail.

Knockout- Lil Wayne ft. Nicki Minaj
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RfYcOYMNuXM
You may have noticed that I also like Lil Wayne a fair bit. Not always, but this song is especially good and uncharacteristic for him.

What Makes You Beautiful- One Direction
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QJO3ROT-A4E&ob=av2e
(Thanks to Ellie for this one and the next) 3 words. British. Boy. Band. These three words together can't NOT equal heaven. And some decent alliteration. But really. Really fun, summer-y song.

Pursuit of Happiness- Kid Cudi ft. MGMT and Ratatat
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7xzU9Qqdqww&ob=av2e
Major stoner song, but for some reason it was really catchy to me. Not cause I'm a stoner, don't take it that way, but it just has something kind of unique.

I Want You to Want Me- KSM
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3pUXAyTc26U&ob=av2n
I know this was originally sung by Cheap Trick (is it sad that I know that because of the movie "John Tucker Must Die"? Yes.) But I like KSM's cover a lot as well. And they're an all-girl band, so rock on, feminists.

There have been plenty of others of course, but these were mostly the only ones I kept bookmarked on my i-Pod. Hopefully everyone that reads this can find something they at least mildly liked, cause I tried to put some variety here.

Also, ANYTHING ELLIE GOULDING. My love for her music has hit a new high. I have yet to get tired of listening to a single song on her album. I also found this unreleased (I think that's the right word) song on youtube, and, of course, I love it.

The End- Ellie Goulding
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5mhVynE8nEY

If you have heard anything you think I might like, chances are, I will so please tell me about it! Unless it's country. Then keep it to yourself. Sorry. Not really.

Thanks so much for reading, and have the best last day of summer anyone could ever have, for my sake if nothing else :)

* Goodnight *

p.s. is that asterisk thing with the closing ok? Or mega-douchey and too mainstream?I feel like I need at least a bit of continuity with my posts, because I have absolutely not done that.

Words of Wisdom

Hey guys!

If you're reading this, you've probably noticed that the theme/background/whatever you want to call it is different. I'm going to change fonts and do a little more changing tomorrow. I just feel like I've matured as a blogger past the title "Dancing like Nobody's Watching."
Ok, maybe that's just a bunch of bull, but long story short, I'm changing the theme and title.

I'm going to do my best to have a post up sometime tomorrow (probably tomorrow night) about some of the music I've been listening to this summer.

To fill you for tonight though, I have 2 quotes relating to my new (probably temporary) title.
First, is the the definition of "starry-eyed" according to dictionary.com:

"given to naive wishes, judgments, etc; full of unsophisticated optimism; gullible."

And in response to that, I have a quote from Helen Keller:

"No pessimist ever discovered the secret of the stars, or sailed to an uncharted land, or opened a new doorway for the human spirit."

Amen to that.

12 and 16

Hey guys!

So today I did a Q/A thing with my friend where we asked each other questions that we wrote for each other. Ad since I already answered the ones she asked me, I'm going to answer some of the questions that I asked her. So enjoy, and maybe you'll get to know a little more about me!

1. What is your favorite color to paint your toenails?
A: Red or teal

2. If you could have anything as a pendant on a necklace, what would it be?
A: A little camera pendant

3: If you could be any Harry Potter character, which would you be?
A: Neville Longbottom

4: What is your favorite musical group or artist?
A: Ellie Goulding (side note: I just got tickets to her concert. CANNOT WAIT!)

5: What is your favorite club, organization or group that you have ever been a part of?
A: Drumline

6: Who is your biggest celebrity crush?
A: Darren Criss (for anyone who doesn't already know this, get off my blog. Just kidding, thanks for reading. But seriously, come on.)

7: Do you collect anything? If so, what?
A: Yes, I collect the Sunday comics from the newspaper (the ones in color.)

8: What is your favorite word to say?
A: Effervescence or translucent.

9: What is your least favorite color?
A: Pink.

10: What is your favorite article of clothing?
A: Sweatshirt or flip-flops. Obviously it kind of depends on the season.

11. Do you sing in the shower?
A: Dur.

12: If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be?
A: Great Britain!

I'll leave it at 12 questions, because guess what is happening that has to do with a 12? MY BIRTHDAY! It's August 12, and I'm turning 16.

"OHMAHGAWD, YOU'RE TURNING 16? HOW MANY HUNDRED PEOPLE ARE YOU INVITING TO YOUR BIG BIRTHDAY BASH/SPECTACULAR? ARE YOU GOING TO THROW A TANTRUM IF YOUR CAKE ISN'T BIG ENOUGH? BLAH BLAH BLAH."

No. Shut the hell up. The people who are on that show "My Super Sweet Sixteen" make me want to punch them in the face. Jesus.

I basically only want two gifts from my parents this year. A camera and a massive roll of cork board. I have a camera now that works just fine, so this request may make me start to seem like those spoiled brats on that show, but let me explain why. My current camera has extremely terrible quality, and I really enjoy taking pictures for the beauty of them and for keeping the memories. Not for taking shallow pictures of me and my friends "chucking up deuces". What a stupid saying. That sounds like you're throwing up. Anyway, my other request, the cork board is to cover one wall in my room. It's where I would like to hang the pictures I would like to take with my new camera.

So I hope you guys are having a positive and productive summer(possibly the two nerdiest words one can use to describe summer) and I wish everyone explosions of phantastic times until that day in September comes. Until next post. :)

P.S. I'm going to see Bluewater's production of "Anything Goes" on Thursday evening, and I can hardly contain my anticipation. If you're in the show, break a leg :)

Slooty Darren

I've had a Darren Criss overload lately. Like more than usual. I watched A Very Potter Musical, then Starkid's mini web-series "Little White Lie", and then a short Darren had a tiny part in, "I Adora You", and then a little bit of "Eastwick". While I thoroughly enjoyed his face, I started noticing a patten. HE MAKES OUT ALL THE TIME! In literally all of these videos he makes out at least once. Here are links: (The time it happens in the video is below the link)

I really don't know what to make of these. Just thought I'd enlighten (what?) you.

Spread the Love

Hey-o.

I literally just googled "greetings" because I couldn't think of an interesting opening. So that's what you get :)

I got a tumblr. I'm kind of sick of the title "Dancing Like Nobody's Watching" though, so if anyone has and better titles for it, I could use an idea.

I should really start being more productive, but I've just settled into a horrible cycle. Wake up at 12, have what you could call a meal, watch TV for about 4 hours, eat another ambiguous meal, take a shower, spend like 2 hours on my i-pod, and go to bead around 1. At least I kinda/mostly cleaned my closet today. I'm working on it.

Ellie Goulding. How the hell did I not know about her before?! SHE IS AMAZING! I bought her album because it was on sale on itunes (yes, I am THAT cheap) because I heard/liked her song "Lights", and I CANNOT stop listening to her album. She's coming to Minneapolis on the 4th of August, and I think I may die if I don't get tickets. Possibly an over-exaggeration, but not by much. I will definitely have a meltdown.

Speaking British people, (Ellie is British), Ally and I looked into British actors because of the release of HP7P2 (which I admired as a movie, by the way), and let me just say, there are some attractive British men. I'll direct you here:

www.hotbritishmen.tumblr.com

Regrettably, I've started thinking about school lately, because, well my mind has had a lot of time to wander. But of course, I didn't care to think about the actual work part, I just thought about all the FUN things that are going to happen once school starts, such as the band trips (holler, what?) and, of course, HOMECOMING. With Homecoming (should that "h" be capitalized? Probably not, but I'm not very good at grammar, so screw that) comes dresses. And last year, I seriously got my dress a week before the dance, and it'd be cool if I didn't do the same thing this year. So, ladies, if you have any suggestions for where to get dresses besides the obvious, tell me PLEASE! Thanks :)

I am so addicted to ABC Family. All of the TV that I plan to watch (meaning I turn the TV on at the time the show starts or record it, as opposed to just turning on the TV because I'm bored) is on ABC Family. Except for Friends, because I think that's on TBS too. SERIOUSLY THOUGH, I watch Pretty Little Liars, Switched at Birth, the Nine Lives of Chloe King, Friends, and almost all of their movies. As sad as it is to say, I'm even kind of excited for their "Campus Crush" week.

Anyway, back to where I was going initially with this. So I just watched their new movie "Cyberbully", and I basically bawled my eyes out. Ok, that's a bit of an overexageration, but I did cry. That's especially sad, because I can't even relate to the movie! I started crying because I kept thinking, "What if this happened to me or one of my friends?" But it never has. Not even close. I really haven't seen much bullying in our school, which I am thankful of (dur) but especially not like the b*tch in this movie. Seriously, watch it and try to tell me that this Lindsey chick wasn't like fed evil juice as a child.

Anyway, I encourage you to watch the movie, because as cheesy as it is, it's maybe eye-opening, and could be helpful. And last I'm going to leave you guys with a challenge:
After you're done reading I want you to go spread some positivity on the internet. Whether it be as simple as "liking" someone's profile picture, to sending them a message saying you haven't seen them in a while, or how have they been, or whatever, but just go be nice. Because everyone likes hearing something nice, whether you're a fire-breathing bitch (I'm to lazy to censor that) or someone who does nice things like this all the time.

Thanks for reading!
Go forth and spread the love <3

Wordle

In keeping with the mild wordle obsession I've had recently (I blame STEPS), here's a wordle of my blog:
Wordle: Words
I'm thinking about doing a questionaire (sp?) about me sometime soon, mainly because I'm out of ideas :)
If you have any, TELL ME! I HAVE NONE! ZERO!
p.s. Happy Bastille, I mean Birthday, Ally :)

Not Dead Yet

No, I'm not dead. I just took a lazy break.

About half of the days so far this summer have been beyond lazy. I mean stay-in-my-pjs-don't-leave-the-house-sit-on-my-butt-all-day kind of days. I thought about making a new post literally everyday, but I just never got around to it. I've had plenty of exciting little tidbits that I wanted to share, but they haven't been enough to generate a whole post out of, or even remember for that matter.

I'm thinking about changing the tone of my blog a little bit. Not to a dark, depressing sort of tone; I'd get a different blog for that. Just to be a bit more real, because, frankly, all of my posts thus far have been just mildly entertaining fluff. Not that there's always a problem with fluff, but I kinda want my blog to have a bit more substance from time to time. Not every post will be like this, there will just be tidbits woven in with the fluff. Not that it really matters or anything, I just wanted to let anyone who bothers to read my writing aware of this.

You may be thinking, "What causes this random desire for a change of tone?" and the answers to that question are long and numerous, so buck up.

1. I was inspired by my friend Ellie's blog (www.piecesofwhats.blogspot.com). She's a phenomenal writer, and you should definitely go check out her blog.

2. My life has become kind of difficult lately due to a lot of things. A lot of it has been little injuries, disappointing turnouts for assorted activities, apathetic friends (don't worry, you would know if it's you), and various other things.

3. The biggest thing is my mom. For those of you who don't know, she has cancer. It's not an extremely serious type, but it's still been kinda difficult. She has Thyroid cancer (there may be a more medical name for it, I'm not really sure what it would be). She was diagnosed last spring, and like the week she was diagnosed, she had surgery on her neck (where your thyroid is located) and had the whole thing straight-up taken out. After that, she had to do a treatment, where she takes a radioactive pill to kill off all of the thyroid cells. Since the radioactivity can be let out of her body through bodily fluids like sweat, we couldn't touch anything she touched for a week, so that the radioactivity had time to dissipate. This is relevant now because she had to do the same thing again this week. Thankfully, it was a smaller check-up sort of dose, so it was only for about three days. Super thankfully, she went to the doctor for a body scan this morning, and she found out that it was clear, so she didn't have to take a larger dose again any time soon. I still don't totally understand everything about the cancer yet, and I'm leaving a lot of things out for the sake of keeping this as short as possible, but basically she's had to go through a lot lately, and I'm glad it's over for at least a while. :)

That was super depressing for you to read I'm sure, but let's move on.

I'm going to get a tumblr, because that way I can write shorter posts, and more frequent posts too. I'm not sure what the URL will be yet, but I'll let Facebook, and my blog know as soon as I create the account.

I know this post was insufficient for the immense amount of time I haven't been posting, and for that I am sorry, but it'll have to do for now.

I'll leave you with a lovely song that I've listened to nearly nonstop so far this summer. It's called "Lights" by Ellie Goulding, and it is just amazing. It's been out for a while I think, and she's been a really popular musician for a while as well, but I just discovered her and this song. So, I hope you enjoy it as much as I have been :) Link, as always:

Happy summer. Stay safe, and enjoy yourself <3

Band Geeks

Just got my elegibility letter for NHS. The application packet is 9 pages. This is literally going to take me so long. fml in a bittersweet kinda way, cause it's still National Freakin Honor Society.

American Idiot the musical is coming to the Orpheum next season. So is Blue Man Group. Tickets are so #1 on my birthday list. So far...

Speaking of American Idiot, 21 Guns is such a great song. Most of that album is just bomb. I need some synonyms for "great". Now that I'm thinking about it though, there is definitely no shortage of them. Lets look at some, shall we?
-Bomb
-Sweet
-Totally Awesome
-Sick
-Supermegafoxyawesomhot
- Amazing
-Fantastic
and on, and on. 3rd and 5th are my faves though... obviously.

Zac Quote by his own request: "Oh really, you were walking? You're sure you weren't running? Or jogging? You're sure you were just walking?" (Sorry I tend to tune you out sometimes, so I can't really remember what you said...burn)

Do people still say "burn"? No? Oh...well I do frequently.

Monday night: -Hour and a half soccer game
- Two hour drum line rehearsal
- Spotlight Award Performance
And all I can make it to is one. Which am I choosing to go to? Well let me lay it out for you this way:
- I have soccer twice a week until the endish of July, and I only play recreationally.
- I have a full week of 9-5 drum line rehearsals the next week.
- I will probably never get to perform onstage at the Orpheum ever again.
Take a guess.

I looked at my blog stats for the first time yesterday, and turns out there have been people that have read my blog from like 5 assorted European countries.

I dropped APUSH next year to take 4x. Worst decision ever? At least I won't have summer reading :)

The people sitting next to me and my friends at the dance recital we went to tonight were amazing. First, this like 90-year-old lady asks if she can sit in the seats next to us, then proceeds to climb over them from the row behind us. Then, in the middle of one of the dances where the dancer was doing a series of mildly difficult moves, they exclaim "OH, YES!" out of nowhere. And finally, they tried to start clapping along with the music, but it was so off and at such awkward times, that they just sounded awful. So funny. Oh, and the recital was pretty excellent too ;)

I'm planning on re-watching AVPM, AVPS, and Starship this summer with no regrets.

I've lost interest in Saturday Night Live. Except when Justin Timberlake is on. That studly man.

Bugs are just starting to come out of their magical winter hiding places and it is the most annoying thing ever. That is literally the only thing I don't like about warm weather. Yea, humidity sucks, but it is waaaaay better than sub-zero temperatures in my opinion. Except when you're riding to a graduation ceremony in long black jeans and a long sleeve black shirt in a crowed bus with 40-some other band kids and their instruments for like 40 minutes.

Speaking of graduation, it wasn't as bad as everyone said it was going to be. Then again, I didn't play during Pomp and Circumstance, and when our principal's speech got boring, I started playing rock, paper, scissors with Ally. My friend in the audience said that whenever a band kid's name was called, there was an audible increase in the cheering level from the band. Oh, band kids...

I don't know if I can handle three more days of school. In my mind, summer has been in full swing for about two weeks.

I'll close by saying a heartfelt goodbye to my senior friends, especially Alese, Nina, and Alex. I'm going to miss you guys so much, but I'm sure since at least 2 of you are staying pretty close, I'll still be able to see/talk to you guys enough. Maybe I'll get a skype. Anyway, best of luck to you all. Bon nuit!

Mooolesting Cows

Longer post tomorrow, I PROMISE! I just left my i-pod at school, so I'm technology-deprived...

But, so you have at least something to read, the best part of today occurred in communications while writing a script:
Ally: "We need something a person could do on a farm to get in trouble."
Caroline: "Maybe they could MOOOO-lest a cow?"

I'M SO CHEESY.

Haul... cause that's what the cool kids are doing.

I(and a couple other poofs) made t-shirts for the Glee Live Tour concert (p.s. it happens to be in 2 EFFING DAYS!!!?!@!gdgiokv{y{p>y) and we were using glow-in-the-dark paint. Whenever I was done using that color for a bit, I would wipe it off on the back of my hand just because it was convenient. WELL, the freakiest thing happened: I was almost asleep that night when I looked at my hand and PARTS OF IT WERE GLOWING! At first I was like "What the-?!" but then I remembered the paint, and was mildly less freaked-out. Here's what my shirt looks like so far:

Just pretend it says "SUPER MEGA FOXY AWESOME HOT" under the writing in the second picture. That's my task for tomorrow...

I had a fantastic list of things to do this summer that I was going to post, but they were saved on my i-pod, which has been temporarily taken by my mother because I may or may not have been spending copious amounts of time on it. Pshhh....yea well I'll post it when I get it back.

Eff school (I would use the actually word, but it has come to my attention that my sister has discovered my blog... hi Lillian. P.S. I found your formspring >:) Anyway, I have seriously checked out. If if weren't for me being SO CLOSE to an A instead of an A- in Honors communications, I would completely stop caring.

Speaking of communications, my teacher is a psycho. She hits kids, literally. You think I'm joking, but I'm not. That's generally the meaning of literally. I just keep thinking only 7 more days. I'm thinking of egging her house. No, I wouldn't actually do that, but I could, because I found out where she lives from one of my friends in band who lives by here. I'm not stalking her, don't worry, I just drove this girl home, and she was telling us about her neighbors...

I'M MAKING A HAUL. RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW.
So I went shopping today for mainly short, and I ended up getting only one pair. That's probaby due to the fact that all shorts are either 50+ dollars or scandalously short. I tried to find a pair that is "school appropriate", but apparently I have ridiculously long arms, which makes this nearly impossible without getting bermudas. Anyway, here's what I got:

You probably don't care about what clothes I bought, and I don't blame you, but I'm in a weird mood so deal.

What's with all these storms lately? Not that I don't like them, because I LOVE them, but isn't April supposed to be the rainy month? Oh, right. It was snowing then...

It was seriously like 90 degrees today. SO FABULOUS! Except for my hair, which was so frizzy it looked like a bomb went off. I shouldn't joke about bombs, especially considering it's Memorial Day (btw, thanks troops) but you should see it.

My bio project literally sucks. It makes about zero sense, but its 12 a.m. and you know what? You guessed it... I DON'T CARE.

Ugh. On that sassy note, I shall blog soon. Thanks for reading! Tell your friends!

You know you're a Starkid when...

So I found this tumblr...

www.youknowyoureastarkidwhen.tumblr.com

It basically made my life 100000 times better today. I would copy and paste one of the many hilarious pictures, but that may be illegal in some way, so I'll just tell you some of my favorites.

YOU KNOW YOU'RE A STARKID WHEN...
  • you shout "Yeah, I'm smoking pot" at inappropriate times.
  • you damn that G.L.E.E. for always making twisted abominations of everything.
  • expressing your feelings makes you one tough son of a bitch.
  • the world always looks a little brighter from on top of a lap.
  • you shout "FELIZ NAVIDAD!" in times of peril.
  • you announce your entrance to a room by saying "did someone say [insert name]?"
  • you know never to tell a girl you like her, cause it makes you look like an idiot.
  • you see the word "FIND!" in all caps and automatically assume someone's making a hufflepuff joke.
These are just some of the many brilliant lines on their tumblr. Of course, If you've never seen AVPM, AVPS, or Starship, these are going to make no sense to you. All the more reason to start watching them! Here, I'll even get you started with the link to it:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wmwM_AKeMCk

Speaking of Starkid, I went to THREE STORES looking for a GQ magazine to buy today, and couldn't find one! (teehee... find... like hufflepuff...hehe) Anyway, I know a 15 year old girl looking for "Gentleman's Quarterly" magazine is usually quite strange, but for you POOFS that don't know, they had an eight-page spread on Darren Criss. Don't worry, I'm not turning into a middle-aged man.

Found my new favorite Poreotics video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xOmX15DXG00&feature=related

Coffee House tonight at the high school was A BAZILLION times better than I anticipated. I had no idea how well some of these people could really sing! BRAVO ALL!

I'll make a longer post sometime in the near future, but it's 11:30, and, well I just want to go to bed. :P

I do believe this will be included on my soundtrack to summer:

Poreotics

So if I go to Photo Club on Thursday we can bring an 8x10 (I think) print of a picture we took to hang up in Starbucks. Click on the 'Photographs' tab right now and choose one that you really like and think should be my final print. PLEEEEEEASE!

Thing that I enjoy:
  • Green tea
  • Tie-bracelets and anklets
  • Darren Criss (duh)
  • Taking pictures
  • Reading other people's blogs
  • Being sassy (apparently I do that now??)
  • ABDC winners "The Poreotics"
  • Talking with my hands (Zac...)
  • Muffins
  • SLEEP
  • Skipping band for other school events
  • Over-planning things
  • The fact that the Glee concert is in EIGHT DAYS.
SO, Poreotics have become my new YouTube obsession for the past week. They're a dance crew that are not only amazing, but hilarious to watch. Their dancing has so much character, it makes it more than just "dancing". Links to two of my favorite videos of them:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Z1SagbnPew

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ciuZcgA3AXw

I could watch them dance all day. Sidenote: when a guy can dance, he is that much more attractive. True fact.

I'm losing interest in Glee. I know, shocking, but I'm totally serious.

Late start at school again tomorrow! But wait, I'll be there the same time as every day. Cool stuff. Oh, well. I'll chill with Meredith, maybe I'll bring her a muffin.

Speaking of muffins, mine turned out DELICIOUS even with their minor egg issue.

That would be all. GO CHOOSE A PHOTO!

Sexy Monday

Today was full of sex. Uncomfortable yet?
Calm down... I don't mean it like that...
In health we had a guest speaker come in to talk about abstinence. I didn't think it was possible to make taking to a group of sophomores about sex more awkward than that concept already is, but she achieved it.

Then we found a condom wrapper on the bus on the way home. One of my friends took it home to plant in her sisters room. Is it sad that I'm excited to see how that joke turned out? Too funny I bet.

I decided to make muffins tonight to eat in the morning for breakfast. Good plan, except 3 minutes after I put them in the oven, I realized I forgot to add eggs. So I scraped them all out of their cute little pan liners, put them back in a bowl, added eggs, and finally put them back in the oven. So it basically took me an hour to make muffins. So inefficient.

I had no homework except French to do tonight, yet I still haven't even done that yet. And I'll probably be up until 11. Wasting time is probably the thing I do better than anything else.

Speaking of wasting time, instead of working on our project in biology today, Daphne, Hannah, and I decided to g-chat the whole time about the kid behind us who made Chuck Norris jokes for a full hour of class today. Chuck Norris is only funny for so long.

Word we learned in French today that I wish SO wish was a cognate: douche.
It means "shower", but you can bet the whole class was giggling. Well, I was anyway.

THIS GUY is way cooler than I initially thought he was. But how/why does he do his hair like that? Link to what I'm talking about:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fLexgOxsZu0

Our project that was supposed to take 15 minutes (20 max.) in communications today took 30. Sorry to our class, because our presentation was beyond boring. I would have fallen asleep about 5 minutes into it if I were watching it instead of giving it.

The time I spent "watching" the other presentations was actually spent designing the t-shirts I'm going to make for the Glee concert, and trying to come up with something clever to put on the drum line t-shirts for next year. I have absolutely no authority on this decision, but at least I can try to contribute. How does: "The only section that doesn't blow" sound? No sexual innuendo intended...seriously. I doubt our band director will go for this though...

I took some picture of the rose I got at my last day of dance class. Most of the pictures turned out like this:
But I took a few good ones, including:
So on that note, I'll close for the evening. If anyone has any suggestions for something to put on my blog, or something to write about, PLEASE TELL ME because, as you can tell, I'm clearly out of ideas. That was most definitely a run-on sentence. Whatever.
Byeeeee

SEMI-colon (Win?)

Oh, hey. Didn't see you there. Guess where I just came from? Had...a yogurt.
For anyone who didn't get that reference, those are the words to "I Just Had Sex" by the Lonely Island. They are comedy geniuses; they're the ones who sing all of the hilarious songs on SNL, such as "Mother Lover" and "D*** in a box". They just came out with a new album in case you are seriously in love with their crude, yet hysterical, music. Link to the song/video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lQlIhraqL7o

I just used a semi-colon in a sentance. Probably incorrectly, but whatever.

My browser just crashed FOR A THIRD TIME. Blogging is getting difficult.

So you know how I was talking about our awesome soccer team? Yea, well we lost our first game... 2-0. And someone stepped on me with a cleat and hurt my foot. Fun stuff.

I have a really hard time taking the characters in "Twelfth Night" because I can only picture them as their "She's the Man" counterparts. Especially Orsino. All I can see is Channing Tatum's abs. It makes focusing kind of a struggle.

Our dance teacher informed us at our dress rehersal that we needed to wear our hair down for the recital. This in bad for three reasons:
1) It looks incredibly unprofessional when we have our hair flying around while we're dancing. Danceline almost NEVER does this except when it fits with the theme of their song.
2) It is way more difficult to avoid running into/kicking people when your eyesight is impared by a mess of hair.
3) YOU CAN CHOKE ON YOUR HAIR! This sounds ridiculous, but thats what happened to me. Seriously, It's a health hazard, I couldn't breath for like 5 seconds.

Musicals make my life. I could probably never pick my favorite, but if I had to, West Side Story would be up there for sure. Mainly for the music because IT IS SO PHENOMENAL. Seriously, I have the whole soundtrack on my i-Pod and I would be totally okay if "Gym Mambo" was stuck in my head for all eternity. Well, "totally okay" may be stretching it a bit...

I found out next year's music theme for marching band: Superheroes.
Umm....
So...
Can I say WTF? Cause I did. Lets be real, as much as that rocks for the cymbal players who I'm certain will have a plethora of dramatic crashes in their parts, this may be one of the worst themes of all time. Just...ugh.

Speaking of marching band, I had drum line auditions today. The word "failure" pretty much embodies what went down in my audition to a tee. (tee? T? tea? I've never really written that phrase out before, and I'm realizing now that I don't really understand it that well, like which kind of "t"? Who came up with that saying anyway? Can anyone explain this to me?) Anyway, I went in and COMPLETELY BUTCHERED the mallet part because I started off too fast because I was nervous. Well, they let me go back and play it again, and I did it WAAAAY better the second time, thank goodness. The rest was just...kinda...well... meh/ugh/oy/ohshit/hmm/i'mrunningoutofnoises.

My dad's reaction to me being a Link Leader: "Oh, that's really good, because I know you try out for a lot of things, and being accepted has been pretty hard for you...so I'm glad you finally got accepted"
Cool, Dad. I'm really feeling the love.

I GOT ANOTHER TAB BECAUSE THEY'RE JUST SO FUN! It's fun ways to waste time (which I'm sure we all need more of...) and I'm still working on it so don't judge. Just enjoy for the time being.

So I think that's everything that's been even mildly amusing recently, so I'm going to go sleep, because my vision is getting blurry...nmvn789vk;lqae;swnmc[pqwtnmvqwwhaaaat?

Nage dans les Paroles

I got accepted to be a Link Leader today! I'm really sorry to those of you who weren't accepted, but I"M JUST SUPER PUMPED!

My chin has been itching like no other lately. It's kinda starting to freak me out. It's been like 2 weeks of this and since I can't exactly see the bottom of my chin I have no idea what's happening. A new species of bug could be forming under there for all I know.

Ninjas de verde's first soccer game tonight! Only one practice so far, so we'll see how this goes...

DRUM LINE AUDITIONS ARE THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW. Just the thought gives me a stomach ache.

Speaking of stomach's, we learned how to say the parts of the body in French class today. Coeur means heart, just in case anyone wants to use that in a cleverly romantic phrase anytime soon.

Prom happened Friday. I spent the bulk of Saturday creeping on pictures, just like most underclassmen girls. Don't act like you didn't do it too.

Hey, I got a new tab, because I finally figured out how to do it! It's labeled "Photographs" and it's basically an assortment of photos I've taken over the last few years. Check it out.

So since I have a buttload of comm homework, I'm going to go ahead and start that now, so kbai.

Compensation

I know it's been like 3 or four days since I posted , and I'm sorry, but I've been super busy. Well....napping actually, but same difference, right? I'll make this post long-ish to compensate.

Lets start with what happened Wednesday. First, and basically most important, we had an Australian sub in bioX. Possibly the greatest thing that's ever happened in that class. Except the video our teacher decided to show us when we had extra time. Link:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B-Wd-Q3F8KM

If you don't want to bother with the link, it's basically a video of the "Count" from Sesame Street singing about him counting things, but they've bleeped out the work "count" so he says he's BLEEEEEEPing assorted objects. It's great and all, but the fact that our teacher was laughing harder than any of the immature teenage boys in our class (he was like almost crying he was laughing so hard) really says a lot about him. He is literally the most immature teacher I've ever had. He makes jokes about genitalia daily. Yes, DAILY. We watched a video called "Why Sex?" the day he was gone. It was like an hour of animals humping. I'm assuming the movie was of his choosing...

I'm going to skip Thursday, because I don't think anything particularly interesting happened Thursday. OH, except I took these pictures:

Again, I apologize for the quality, but what're you gonna do?

Friday was Friday the thirteenth. I'm still alive, so that's definitely a positive, but Alex almost sliced my head off with a cymbal. Typical.
Along with it being the 13th, it was MAGIC THEATRE! Generally I'm not excited for band concerts (ok, let's be real, the only band concert I've ever been excited for was the marching band indoor concert, and that's because there was a volleyball game afterwards) but I was beyond pumped for this concert. And it lived up to every expectation I had. I usually screw up pretty severely in band concerts, but I hardly did at all this time! And it was only on vibes, and no one can hear them anyway, so that doesn't even count, right? Right? Oh, shut up.

But seriously, it was great. Great music, some great skits, and a Glee-type skit, so overall, AWESOME. And apparently the camera that was filming zoomed in on me while I was intensely focused on my maraca part. Fun stuff.

In communications yesterday, we found out we didn't have any homework for the weekend, which is more than unusual. So much, that someone questioned whether it was a sign of the apocalypse. I'd believe it.

We also read Shakespeare's 18th sonnet, and our teacher picked on two guys to read it to two girls. SO FUNNY. Except it was super cute too, which kinda sucked, cause I really wanted to mock the crap out of them.

You know that you're not working hard enough at something when you've been doing it for like 5 years and your younger brother, who has been doing it for under 6 months, can do it better. For instance, my brother had his first piano recital today, and he's pretty much already amazing. I know I don't exactly play piano (I quit that the second I didn't need to do it to qualify for percussion anymore) and haven't for like 5+ years, but I still play percussion, and he's like infinitely better than me. Watch out, future percussionists. He's going to blow your minds when he's a freshman.

The Script makes some of the most emotional (and AMAZING) music ever. True story. Need proof? Links:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CPEBN2dVNUY

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gS9o1FAszdk&feature=relmfu

Simply stunning music. Really great.

I followed through on my idea to go see "Prom" the movie on prom night. Predictable and cliche, but cute nonetheless. I almost cried. Gah, I'm such a sensitive wimp. Pathetic.

Well, my family is drinking tea and watching "Mrs. Doubtfire", and I think I'll join them.

Perverted Persepolis

I read almost all of book 1 of the graphic novel we were assigned for communications tonight (that's about 150 pages) which surprisingly enough took me only about an hour and a half, and with my lack of attention, that's pretty freaking good. I was curious so I started to flip through book 2.
What. The. Idontevenknow.
That is messed up. The school should not be giving that book to us high-schoolers what with our stereotypical raging hormones or whatever.
Persepolis book 2 has seriously scarred me.

I've been diligently working on drum line audition material still, and I've got the mallet part memorized (though not quite up to tempo yet) and I'm working hard on the two snare parts. If you're reading this and you're not a percussionist, this probably doesn't mean anything to you, but if you are a percussionist... well it probably doesn't mean a whole lot to you either, but I'm just proud I've actually been working on it instead of my usual save-it-till-the-day-before-and-end-up-on-a-horrible-instrument attitude. I still won't end up on a great instrument cause I'm just not that good in general, but at least I'm putting some effort in.

Speaking of percussionists, while our band was using the marching snares for rehearsal on Battle Hymn of the Republic today, someone noticed a "P" on the bottom of there drum. One of the percussionists said someone used the drums to ask someone to prom. Does anyone know anything about that, because that is just adorable!

Google logo for today= waaaaay cool.

I need some suggestions for some new music to listen to, because frankly, I'm tired of listening to so much crappy pop music. Help?

Speaking of crappy music... Glee killed "Rolling in the Deep" tonight. Just butchered it. That harmony sucked eggs. I only saw 20 minutes of the episode, but Blaine was fabulous as usual.
Stud muffin.

Happy Endings is on tomorrow, and for those of you who haven't checked that show out yet, DO IT! Last week's episodes weren't super fantastic, although the whole "hipster" concept was pretty funny in the second one. I hear that's a trend... or so Facebook says...

The sky cast simply the most entrancing shade of yellow across my neighborhood today. Every time I looked out my window, I literally smiled, despite the fact that my hair was frizzing to something similar to that of a 70's afro. I don't even care one bit because it was like 90 degrees today, and anyone who reads my blog somewhat regularly knows that I have been a little pissed off at the weather up until this week. Anyway, I took some vibrant pictures of sprouting flowers and blossoming clouds with a gold illumination shining across them that I promise I'll put up sometime soon. However bad the quality may be...

I got a new pair of rainboots, which should make puddle-jumping and pictures in the rain infinitely more fun.

Sufficient length for a post? I'd say so. Thank for reading and ESPECIALLY to my 8 (!) followers :)

Even though it's really only 7, because Taylor's following me through two different e-mails ;)

Witty Closing :)

Weekend Word Splurge

I'm so glad I didn't take any AP classes this year, because I'd probably be dying of stress like 50% of the school right about now. Next year is going to be super fun... AP Comp and APUSH. Attempting to achieve things sucks.

For Mother's Day this year, our family went to see the Minnesota Orchestra perform a selection of American classics in a show entitled "American Riffs". It was splendid, but all I could think about the whole time was the band master's leg because it NEVER STOPPED MOVING. Seriously, not once from the time she sat down. It wasn't even moving in time or anything!

Ohemgee. It was 70 degrees 2 days in a row this weekend (waaaat?) and the windows in my bedroom have been open for a FUL 48 HOURS!! except I kinda has to close them a little bit when it was raining, BUT NOT ALL THE WAY! oh, it's fabulous.

Forever 21 may be the best clothing store in the history of this earth. I once went to a THREE STORY Forever 21 in California. True story.

For the record, its not the OVERALL best store in the world though. That's reserved for somewhere that sells food.

Should I go to the last day of drum line week this summer (and possibly/hopefully a party) or attend a training day to be a CIT at a girl's engineering camp. This sounds lame, but this is actually a tough decision for me (can you say nerdy?).

French music. IT'S SO GOOD.

So I mentioned that I was going to the Senior Spotlight performances on Friday, and they were FABULOUS!!! Every single one of them. But "Big Love" blew my mind. The emotional range that the actors effectively covered is beyond anything I have ever seen. One minute I was ducking for cover from flying suitcase, the next I was gasping for breath because I was laughing too hard, and by the next scene I was almost crying I was so moved. Seriously, if you didn't see it, you missed out SOOOOOOO bad it's not even ok.

I'm thinking about going to see the movie "Prom" on the night our school is having our prom. Ironic?

My brother recently informed me that he would be quitting soccer next year to play baseball. I think it's a bad decision because guys who play soccer in high school (as a general stereotype) are hotter than those who play baseball. Woah, I just offended some people there, but it's just a stereotype. Not always true... but most of the time it is. ;)

FINALLY! Drum line audition packets were handed out on Friday, and I'm proud to say I've practiced every day since we've gotten them. I know this isn't some great feat, but I plan on keeping this schedule right up until the day of auditions. I WILL DO IT.

Soccer starts tomorrow. Oh, boy. I'm pretty nervous to work with this team again. Not because I have anything against any one of my teammates, I just... haven't talked to them in a while. For most of them, it's been pretty much since the end of last season. Sad, isn't it?

And because we were undefeated last year, and the same the year before except for one game. That's a pretty difficult reputation to uphold.

Well I think that basically everything I've thought about for pretty much the entire weekend. Have a fun Monday, which I actually think will be possible because it's JUST SO DARN BEAUTIFUL OUT!

Bree, Gree-air, Shev-ra, and Rock-fort

Guuten tag. Or should I say Bonjour? Welcome to Dancing Like Nobody's Watching's first co-blog! Right now I (Meredith) am in bio with Caroline. Our class is combined because all of the over-achieving euro kids are gone, nerding out on their AP tests. Sorry for them.

Anyway, in francais today, we had some cheese that Madame brought in. Yum. Except 1) I was eating it right before band so I ended up blowing cheese chunks into my horn, and 2) I wasn't hungry for lunch. Because of the massive amounts of dairy.

Did you know humans are most closely related to tunicates? Betcha didn't.

So we just finished doing this evolution exercise and it was actually really interesting. It was a timeline about how the world and junk started. And then I showed a bunch of things along the way. My favorite part was when we learned when soap was made. Clearly, it was a major invention in the history of man.

Things I like:
Chevre. It's a cheese.
Combined bio class.
Rolling in the Deep.
Doing nothing in comm because of all the kids gone for euro.

Things I don't like:
The tuna salad Caroline had for lunch.

Other things I like:
Caroline standing in the lunch line with me, even if she got tuna salad. ;)

Caroline had a 21 point vocab test today. That seems very weird to me. No test should be 21 points. That's stupid and pointless. So sorry for the pun. (Although I did think it was funny. Did you laugh? I laughed writing it... wow, I'm pathetic.)

Sigh, what a great way to end the week.

-Meredith :)

The 50's did it better

We painted our living room this weekend, and it's now a nice brick-y color. I helped (failed) taping around doors and windows and stuff so the paint wouldn't get on the wood, and I painted like 20 square inches. Not much, but I still feel pretty darn proud when I walk by those 20 inches.

More music.
I'm sure you've heard this song, whether you know it or not, because it is HUGELY popular, and pretty much your stereotypical big band song. It's called "Sing, Sing, Sing" by Benny Goodman and I seriously start at least snapping my fingers every time I listen to it. Link:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r2S1I_ien6A

Why did music ever change from this? What I wouldn't give to live in the 40's or 50's purely for the music.

I am overly excited to go see the Senior Spotlight plays tomorrow. Based on the seniors directing them, I'm positive they won't disappoint.

I've been lacking on jokes lately (obviously you can tell from my last like 3 posts). Um....
uh....
I was going to put a joke there to compensate for my deficit, but I realized I seriously can't think of any. Oh, boy.

OUR BAND TEACHER PASSED OUT IN FIRST BLOCK YESTERDAY! Well, that's the rumor, anyway, that I am apparently spreading. We had the orchestra director as a sub instead. He talked about swagger. Our band teacher is great, but that was probably one of the best band classes I've ever had.

Starship has proved to be a pretty funny show. I'm only to the fourth video of the second act, but they are just too funny. Lauren Lopez just steals the show though. Favorite thing she's said thus far in the show: "One more word, and I'm going to wrap you up in a tortilla and eat you like a snack. Maybe with some pico de gallo."
I realize it doesn't sound that funny, but I literally laughed out loud when I watched it, and then went back and watched it 5 more times. Too funny.

I'm pretty much totally out of ideas, so I'm going to go make myself a cup of green tea. Yum.
A demain.

Imma fall asleep.

I know I haven't been posting as often as I started out, but I figured now, at 12:49 a.m. when I can barely keep my eyes open I'm so tired, would be as good a time as any to post again. That seems logical, right?

I just finished writing a 3-page paper on my stance on genetic engineering for biology, and it was actually very difficult to write. It was 100% your opinion and required no research, so I thought it was going to take like an hour. But as I started writing, I realized that I could not care less. Not because I think it is an unimportant issue, because I know very well that it is, but because I have absolutely no experience with it. I've been lucky enough to go my whole life without knowing someone close to me that has needed a serious organ transplant, so I really can't speak to that side of it. I just think its a little irrational to ask a class of sophmores to write a big paper taking sides on something they're most likely never experienced before.

Music.

For those of you who haven't heard the song "Tonight, Tonight" by Hot Chelle Rae, go watch the music video. Right now. Here, I'll make it easy for you. I'll put a link right here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QzlNFcT2aOE

Its not necesarily thats it's a super mega foxy awesome hot song or anything, because it's not, but its quirky. Repetitive, but quirky. It's funny because one of the lines when they're talking about partying is "Even the white kids".
They happen to all be white.
And, little did I know before I watched the video, Chord Overstreet (Sam from Glee) is in the music video because his brother is one of the lead singers. What is it with attractive guys on Glee with successful, musical brothers? Chord and Nash, Darren and Chuck. It's great.

Another song I've been fairly obsessed with since I first heard it in french class is "Lucie" by Pascal Obispo. Link below.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2GZxqT7o8jc

Its not quirky like "Tonight, Tonight", its actually kind of emotional, but its just a really sweet song. Plus it's in french so it sounds 18097953y40589734528906523 times better. The dramatic pause he takes between "Le temps" and "C'est de l'amour" has kind of become a joke. Its even more dramatic if you watch the live version.

Speaking of French, on the bus ride home today, the girl sitting behind me just randomly broke out in fluent French. You could pretty much say I was beyond awe-struck until I found out she had lived in France for most of her life.

I have so much more to write about today, and I promise I'll write about it soon, but right now I think I might lose my mind if I try to stay up any longer, so, until next post!
Le temps...

C'est de l'amour. hahahahaha

Bugs

Sunday night. You'd think I'd be happy because it's the end of a relaxing weekend, but that's just it: it's the END of the weekend, and like 99% of the teenagers on this earth, I've left the bulk of my homework until now.

It has certainly been an interesting weekend in terms of the spectrum of weather we've experienced. Saturday morning (and a large part of the afternoon), it was pouring. Then it cleared up around 2 or 3 and we had a gorgeous late afternoon/evening. So much wind though. My hair was whippin' back and forth whether I wanted it to or not. Then, of course, it snowed. What is a weekend in Minnesota without snow, after all?
30 degree weather and snow on the first of May.
Seriously? I legit almost got frostbite standing outside for 45 minutes.

I'm so inept at typing. Like there has actually been at least one word out of every sentence I've typed in the last week that has been wrong. I almost spelled Minnesota wrong, for example, in the last paragraph. Minessota. Failure.

So I know I was hating on the Royal Wedding (should that be capitalized? eh, I'm too lazy to look it up.) in my last post, but since there has been such a large obsession globally, I figured I'd at least look at some pictures. Don't worry, I didn't give in and watch the actual wedding or anything, I just watched a clip of their kiss(es) on the balcony, and the planes flying over. I have to admit, that girl is GORGEOUS. It's mildly disheartening for the rest of the women in the world.

Hey guess what? THE GLEE CONCERT IS EXACTLY ONE FLIPPIN' MONTH FROM TODAY!
K, let me catch my breath from screaming.

Castle. Holy mother of pearl, that show is amazing. Second season, Vampire Weekend episode. Watch it. My mind was blown 4 times. And I was mildly afraid to drive home in the dark.

The Odyssey can go die. I don't know how it should be killed, but no one should have to go through the torture I'm going through right now writing about that book. Man, Homer was a lunatic.

Remember how I said I had two nosebleeds on Friday? Well, I got two more later in the day. THAT IS FOUR NOSEBLEEDS. In one day. I feel like this much blood loss is not healthy.

Speaking of things that aren't healthy, my left eye has been bloodshot for 3 days now. I sincerely hope I don't have pinkeye, and I ESPECIALLY hope I didn't give it to anyone if I have it.
It's probably nothing, but watch your eyes. And if you see me at school tomorrow, don't worry, I haven't been doing drugs or anything.

Starship came out yesterday!!! I looked at the videos at 12:00 (they came out at 9) and they only had like 300 views a piece and I was like "Whaaaaat? This is whack." But I just checked, and now they have 110,000 some views. And the album is #5 on iTunes. No big deal or anything.
But I have to say... it is one weird show. I only watched the first two videos so far, and its just like puppet bugs. WTF? Definitely no where near as cool as AVPM/AVPS yet.

Well I probably have some homework I've forgotten, so I'm going to go check on that, and then sleep like no other. Sleep tight and don't let the bed bugs bite! (get it? bugs? starship? oh, never mind.)
